How payment works for a custom wedding dress
The payment process at Lutien Bridal is designed to be clear before production begins. Your initial bridal sketch is free. If you choose to continue, you receive an individual proposal showing the gown design, fabric, construction, price, payment terms and destination-specific delivery terms.
Step 1: Your free initial sketch
You share your vision, venue, wedding date, references and budget. We prepare an initial bridal sketch from your complete brief. The sketch requires no checkout or payment and there is no obligation to order a gown.
Step 2: Your individual proposal
If you want to continue, we confirm the technical design and provide an individual quote. Fully custom gowns are quoted after the fabric, construction and decorative details are understood. Nothing moves into production until you approve the design, price and payment terms.
Step 3: Payment and order confirmation
Orders up to €2,500 are paid in full at confirmation. Orders over €2,500 may be split into two or three instalments when this is agreed in the proposal. An order is confirmed only after the final technical drawing is approved and the required payment or first agreed instalment is received.
What the quote includes
Your proposal states exactly what is included in the agreed price, including the gown design, selected materials, construction and destination-specific delivery terms. Any optional design change or additional work is discussed and approved before it is charged.
Timing and rush fees
Production takes 10–12 weeks. For the most comfortable process, we recommend ordering approximately 10 months before your wedding. No rush fee applies at 6 months or more. If your wedding is less than 6 months away, rush fees are €500 at 5 months, €700 at 4 months and €1,000 at 3 months. We do not accept orders with less than 3 months remaining.
Returns
All gown sales are final. Collection and custom gowns are made specifically for the bride and cannot be resold. This does not affect our commitment to resolving a verified manufacturing defect.
